Converted from a 17th-century convent, the Villa Florentine Hotel, as its name suggests, has a sumptuous Florentine feel to it. It is perched atop the Old Town overlooking Lyon and so commands stunning views from its guestrooms and terraces. One of the great city hotels along the Rhône, it is a bastion of taste and luxury. The medium sized lobby is appointed in the same style as the rest of the property, with a mixture of Renaissance reproductions and contemporary Italian design. All 28 guestrooms are elegantly furnished and equipped with all facilities. The Michelin-starred restaurant – “Les Terraces De Lyon” – serves gourmet cuisine and guests can choose to dine in the grand old vaulted area or the more modern area with glass walls for city views. During summer guests can also dine alfresco on the terraced balcony.
