    TGV Station - Lyon Airport

The airport is connected to the Lyon city centre, and indeed other cities such as Paris and Marseilles, by the high-speed TGV train network. The TGV station is incorporated into the airport complex and is a mere 5-minute walk from the departure lounges.

A bus service is provided by Satobus. The buses run every 20 minutes from 6am until 11pm. The journey to and from the airport should cost approx. €8 single or €15 return.

A taxi from the city centre to the airport, or vice versa, will cost around €40.

    General Transport

Lyon has a very good integrated public transport system (the TCL), which includes the metro, buses and trams. The metro system consists of 38 stations on four different lines. The system is very efficient with trains running approximately every two minutes. The bus network combines buses, trolley buses and coaches. All of which operate on the same ticketing scheme.

For the more active types, there is the Vélo'v bicycle network. The network provides low-cost bicycle hire at over one hundred drop-off / pick-up locations throughout the city.
